The City of Orlando has been designated a Bicycle Friendly Community since 2000. The City promotes bicycling as a form of transportation by making roads safe and accessible to all users; creating the "Got Bikes? Ride 'em" community education forum; participating in Pedal for Pride bike ride with the City Kidz and City Teenz of Parramore; and working directly with the Orlando Police Department to provide education, safety training and enforcement for bicycling.
