Vacansoleil-DCM to ride new Oltre XR2 and Infinito CV at Tour de France

New Bianchi Oltre XR2 and Infinito CV will be in the mix at Tour de France, from June 29th to July 21st.

The whole line-up of World Tour Team Vacansoleil-DCM will be equipped with Oltre XR2, launched two weeks ago at Bianchi Press Event in Italy. Spanish Juan Antonio Flecha and Dutch Boy Van Poppel will also ride on Infinito CV in some selected stages. Flecha had already chosen the Infinito CV at Paris-Roubaix, clinching eighth on April 7th. Team Vacansoleil-DCM will use Pico Crono Carbon in the time trials. Evolution of the Oltre XR model, featuring by a super rigid frame and Bianchi’s unique geometry, Oltre XR2 assures fast acceleration, perfect power transmission and superior handling. Design and performance match thanks the “design technical oriented” approach: super light frame for optimal performances in the climbs and aero shape to make the bike faster on the flat and downhill segments. It is considered the best racing frame ever made by Bianchi.
Oltre XR2's features:

New Infinito CV features revolutionary Countervail® vibration cancelling technology to immediately cancel vibration while increasing frame rigidity. Decreased vibration reduces muscle fatigue while improving rider control, and maximizing energy savings under the spectrum of vibration loads. Patented Countervail® viscoelastic material is embedded within Infinito CV carbon lay-up.

Proven in the extreme conditions of NASA aerospace operations, Countervail® was introduced for cycling exclusively by Bianchi.

Tech specs of Infinito CV:
  • Carbon Monocoque frame with tapered head tube 1.1/8” - 1.5” & PF30 BB (68x46)
  • Double compatibility mechanic and electronic groupset
  • Down tube dimension optimized on the different sizes
  • (New) Full carbon aero fork shape with straight blades
  • Higher head tube and longer chain stay
  • Internal cable routing
