Infinito CV’s innovative technology wins the Expobici Innovation Award

Bianchi Infinito CV, featuring the innovative and exclusive Countervail Vibration Cancelling Technology, won the “Technology Innovation” award assigned byExpobici, the International Bike Show taking place in Padua (September 21-23), within the Innovation Award competition.

Infinito CV took a neat edge in scoring against the other “Road” competitor models taking part to the competition, earning a thorough attention by Expobici’s experienced jury members. Making the difference was the Countervail technology, used and introduced in by Bianchi for cycling for the first time ever, and the special Bianchi C2C Geometry, projected for long-distance riding.

Bianchi cooperated with Materials Sciences Corp. to develop the innovative and exclusive application of the patented Countervail® integrated vibration canceling system for cycling. The result is the new Bianchi Infinito CV.

Scientific studies prove that long term exposure to vibration, typically absorbed by the rider, causes muscle fatigue and discomfort, resulting in reduced performance.

INTEGRATED SYSTEM PROVEN IN NASA AEROSPACE OPERATIONS

Traditional passive damping of the frame using superficial rubber inserts and isolators are only marginally effective compared to the integrated carbon Countervail® system developed by Bianchi and proven in the extreme conditions of NASA aerospace operations. With its patented carbon fiber architecture and viscoelastic material, Countervail® carbon material, embedded within the unique Infinito CV carbon layup, immediately cancels vibration while increasing the stiffness and strength of the entire frame.

ADVANTAGES

 • Maximized ride control and handling under normal to extreme vibration loads
 • Reduced muscle fatigue and increased energy savings in distance rides
 • Increased rigidity and peak power output over long distances

TESTED AT PARIS-ROUBAIX World

Tour Team Vacansoleil-DCM’s rider Juan Antonio Flecha raced 2013 Paris-Roubaix with the Infinito CV (finishing 8th). Right after the finishing line in Roubaix, Flecha defined his Infinito CV as “the best Classics’ bike I have ever had”. Tested and race proven by Bianchi professional riders, Infinito CV proves to be the best bike to face long distances and to cancel vibration, even the extreme conditions of the Paris-Roubaix’s cobbles.

From Saturday September 21st, to Monday 23rd, an Infinito CV model will be showcased in Pavillon 2 of Expobici Bike Show in Padova, along with the other winning products in the different categories.

Official awarding public ceremonies will take place on Saturday September 21st at 13.00 in Pavillon 4, on Regione Veneto’s stage.
