BikeExchange: Contend SL Disc a "Great Bike for an All-Rounder"

BikeExchange, a global online marketplace for bikes, recently posted a video feature on the 2017 Contend SL Disc, a new aluminum all-rounder road bike from Giant. In the review, BikeExchange details some of the features and technologies of the Contend SL Disc and gives its impressions on how the bike performs on the road.

“The Contend has a front end really similar to the Defy and most other endurance bikes with a longer headtube to put the rider in a more upright position,” explains BikeExchange. “But if you look at the rear of the bike, the chainstays have been shortened a centimeter compared to the Defy, and it starts to resemble more of the racier TCR and Propel.”
In the ride test, BikeExchange describes the Contend SL Disc as “stable” but says “it does have that extra agility for the all-rounder.”
The review also details Giant’s new Conduct Hydraulic Brake System on the Contend SL Disc, an innovative technology that combines the simplicity of mechanical disc brakes with the power and smooth feel of hydraulic.
